But where should you go? We recommend America – it is a beautiful country, and there are so many different places that offer different experiences. Here are some of the best romantic getaway locations in the States to help you decide.

 

1. New Orleans

Soulful New Orleans is the perfect place for a music-loving couple, especially if you love Jazz and Blues! It is also a great choice for foodies, with its fantastic cuisine reflecting the city’s influence of French, African and American culture.

There are lots of romantic things for couples to do here; you can take a ride on a horse and carriage, or you can visit one of the cities hidden courtyard cafes. If you can, visit during February – and make sure to get down to the amazing Mardi Gras celebrations!

2. Honolulu

If you’re looking for a relaxing time in a paradise location then Honolulu, Hawaii is a great choice. Lay down in the sand on idyllic Waikiki Beach to watch the surfers and canoes – or if you’re feeling brave, have a go on the water yourselves!  For an authentic Hawaiian experience, visit ‘House Without A Key’ to watch live Hawaiian dancing, while listening to music under the stars and sipping on a Mai Tai cocktail. 3. Las Vegas

If a wild weekend is more your thing than a relaxing break, then notorious Las Vegas is surely the place for you. It’s basically a playground for adults with its rooftop rollercoasters, singing gondoliers and around-the-clock entertainment. Vegas is the perfect place to go if you fancy seeing a concert or show – and it’s bound to be a breathtaking experience!

4. Seattle

Seattle is a wonderful place to go if you fancy taking your partner on a romantic boat ride. Visit the Center for Wooden Boats and rent a stunning wooden sailboat, rowboat or canoe to slowly take in the city’s views from the water before relaxing with cocktails at the dock. If you want another way to take in the sights, take a trip up Seattle’s famous Space Needle where you can view the city from 605 feet!

5. Los Angeles

Do you and your partner fancy feeling like celebrities for the weekend? If so, Los Angeles is an absolute must. This city is stunningly beautiful and very stylish; make sure to get a look round the huge variety of celebrity-frequented shops to get something new to wear on your trip. Afterwards you can take a trip to one of the city’s gorgeous beaches.
