How To Get Over A Man

How To Get Over A Man

Break ups can be very emotionally draining, but for many women the hardest part is actually getting over their ex. After all, it can be very difficult to get over someone, especially if you were together for a long time – but if the relationship was unhealthy, you should try to move on.

But how do you move on when you feel so low? It may feel like an impossible task… but thankfully it isn’t. Here are five tips to help you get over a man.

1. Take A Break From It All

If you feel really low it could be beneficial to take a break from it all. Book a short break if you can take the time off work, and if not plan a short weekend break that will give you the chance to relax and recharge. You could even spend a few days at your best friend’s house!

2. Focus On The Positives

It may not feel like it right now, but the break up is probably for the best. Maybe your partner didn’t really understand you, or maybe you didn’t trust them. Either way the relationship is over now, so you can finally focus on yourself and what makes you happy.

3. Remember The Good Times

Look back on the relationship in a realistic way. Don’t just focus on the negative things, as this can make you feel bitter and angry; instead remember both the good times and the bad. This may seem like it will make it harder for you to move on, but it will actually help you to see the relationship in a more realistic light (so you will understand why it didn’t work out).

4. Don’t Start Dating Straight Away

If you still have strong feelings for your ex you shouldn’t start dating straight away. This is because it is likely that you will display feelings of anger and insecurity to the next person you start dating. So take your time, and only start dating when you feel like you are ready!

5. But When You Are Ready, Be Proactive With Online Dating!

Once you start to feel positive about dating you should start to be proactive. Don’t just set up a basic dating profile and wait for the messages to appear; spend some time crafting a unique, personal profile and then start matching with others. This will make it much easier for you to find someone amazing!
