Fun Winter Date Ideas In London

Fun Winter Date Ideas In London

When December arrives London is one of the best places to be. The city is packed with wonderful festive events, from a giant Christmas market to festive food theatres – so if you are planning a date in London, there are lots of things to choose from. But what are some good winter date ideas?

Here are four of our favourite winter date ideas in London.

1. Fun Winter Date Ideas In London: Check Out The Christmas Markets

The Christmas Markets have officially landed in the UK, and the London markets are definitely some of the best. Nearly every stall is covered with fairy lights, so the scene is very beautiful and romantic – and there are lots of things to check out! You can see lots of crafty stalls along the South Bank, and there are also some food stalls in the Royal Festival Hall. Expect to see lots of art, cheese, wine and colourful brick-a-brack (so it is a great place to get some Christmas shopping done!).

Wander around with your date checking everything out, and when you start to feel cold head to the music hall for a hot chocolate to warm you up.

2. Go Ice Skating

Do you like the idea of a more active date? If so, you might enjoy visiting one of London’s iconic ice-skating rinks. There are a few to choose from (including  stunning rink in the Natural History Museum), and most of them also have a coffee shop or restaurant nearby in case you fancy a drink or a snack afterwards. Just make sure that your date enjoys ice skating as well before you book anything!

3. Visit A Food Theatre

If you and your date are both avid foodies you could visit London’s famous food theatre. It is based in the Arcade at Centre Point, and there are lots of things to choose from; you can currently order British food, Italian food and Japanese food. So there is definitely something for everyone, even if you are a picky eater!

4. Enjoy Some Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is a classic Christmas beverage, and there are lots of places in London that serve the delicious drink. You can buy some at the Christmas market as you walk around, or you could visit a cosy pub so that you can enjoy your wine in front of a roaring fire. Some of our favourite options include Kettners Champagne bar, The White Horse and The Cross Keys.

Don’t live in London? No problem; we have lots of other fun date ideas that might appeal to you and your crush.
