Beth And Mark Get Married!

Beth And Mark Get Married!

Can you remember Beth and Mark? The couple met on our website in February 2017, and we wrote a success story about them in 2018 – but their story didn’t end there. The couple got married this February, so we decided to get in touch with Beth and Mark for an update!

Congratulations on the marriage! Tell us about the wedding.

Beth: Thank you! The wedding was amazing; we had a small ceremony with Mark’s immediate family, and several of our close friends. The reception followed at the Tempest Arms. It was such a perfect day! We’re planning a second reception/welcome party once Mark moves to America, so everyone who wasn’t able to travel to Britain will still have the opportunity to celebrate with us.

Did you incorporate any British or American traditions into the wedding?

Beth: I walked down the aisle to our song, “Wonderful Tonight”, and we exited as to “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, the Liverpool FC theme song!

Mark: We also had American candy for the wedding favours – and a nice bottle of Kentucky bourbon too behind the bar!

Did you have a fun honeymoon?

Beth: Yes! When I first visited Mark in 2017 he took me to York, so we went back for our honeymoon. It was cold and rainy, but we had a great time. We were so happy walking around together holding hands.

Mark: The honeymoon was great. Spending time with Beth was a joy because we don’t spend as much time as we want together (apart from videoing and texting of course), but that will change now obviously.

What are your plans for the future?

Beth: As soon as I returned to Kentucky, I mailed Mark’s spouse visa. Once it’s all approved, he’s relocating here permanently. We’re so excited for the future. We can’t wait to start our life together!

Mark: I’ll be moving to Kentucky to be with my new wife as soon as the visa comes through which hopefully won’t be too long. I can’t wait to start my new life there and enjoy all the experiences that it will bring. Thank you for bringing us together!

Beth: We’re so happy we found each other, and we can’t wait to begin our life together. We’re looking forward to our happily ever after!
