4 Romantic Getaways In Britain

You’ve met someone amazing, and you want to take a romantic break together. You may be considering flying to Paris or New York – but in reality, there are lots of romantic cities in Britain that you could visit. This is a great way to stay safe post-pandemic, and it also means that you get to enjoy the stunning beauty of good old Blighty.

Interested? If so, here are four romantic cities in Britain.

1. Romantic Getaways In Britain: The Lake District

The Lake District is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Britain. Walk around and you will see beautiful woods, stunning lakes and breath-taking flora and fauna. There are also lots of cosy, traditional hotels and Air B’n’Bs where you can stay for a few nights.

2. The Cotswolds

Most of Pride and Prejudice was filmed in The Cotswolds, so you can be sure it is a must-see destination. If you visit you will feel like you have travelled back in time; there are lots of beautiful mansions and buildings to discover as you explore, as well as heavenly lavender fields and lots of traditional pubs. Perfect for any anglophile couple!

3. Cornwall

Cornwall is a beautiful British coastal town that is popular during summer. However the town is just as beautiful during autumn and winter – and there are far less tourists! The beaches are also still open; we recommend Fox Cove for a scenic picnic with your beau.

4. Bath

Would you rather visit a bustling city than a quiet town? If so, Bath is a great option. The splendid city has lots of bars and restaurants, as well as lots of historical sites (including Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths). You can even book a romantic hot ballroom ride over the city!
